About

Hi, my name is Christina Vue. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I have lived in the Madison area for the majority of my life. I never knew how much I loved food until I started college at UW-Madison. Thanks to my friends who introduced me to a wide variety of cuisines, I fell in love with eating. My freshmen year I gained more than the freshman fifteen. I furthered my love for food when my sister Francesca came to UW-Madison. On Tuesdays and Thursdays after our power lectures we would get lunch together. After college and when I could afford eating at fancier restaurants, I lucked out with a group of friends who had the same affinity for food so was able to try several restaurants in Madison. My job and love for travel gave me the ability eat even more delicious food around the world.

When it comes to restaurant recommendations, I am often the first person my friends and coworkers ask for advice. I enjoy flavorful food and love ethnic food. I have traveled to many countries and love eating at local restaurants to get authentic cuisine of the area. I do like my food saltier than most and enjoy desserts, especially anything with a scoop (or two) of ice cream. Texture of the food is important to me. I don’t like coconut flakes, raisins, anything too spongy, or very sweet meat. However, I am always willing to try something once, which I think is important. You can’t say you don’t like something until you try it.
